The Social In Social B. Creative
If you have time to spare waiting for an appointment or are relaxing on the couch after a long day of work, you probably grab your phone and scroll through one of your various social media accounts. Nearly 50% of the world’s population has at least one established social media account, and it’s probably not surprising that the number of users and platforms continues to rise. On top of the number of individuals, you will also see school groups, community organizations, sports clubs, and companies utilizing these services. Businesses find that social media is essential to their marketing efforts because of how easy it is to reach mass numbers of people with sales announcements, product updates, photographs that draw attention, and specific details of upcoming events.
However, establishing a new social media presence comes with time, hard work, and strategy, and the thought of undertaking the process can be daunting. Let Social B. Creative give you a few tips from our own experience to set you on the right path.
1) Carry your brand across all forms of marketing. Your social media, website, and print materials should all have elements that tie them together, including fonts, colors, and company logos.
2) This also goes for your visual brand – carry consistent messaging from your website to flyers, About sections, and introductions of social media sites.
3) Post regularly with a thought-out plan. Don’t be too salesy, which drives away followers, but keep attention by introducing your team, giving glimpses behind the scenes, sharing helpful tips, and highlighting your product or service. Remember, you are the expert at what you do, and you want to show off that knowledge.
4) And a little secret: try to highlight your customers or followers when you can. Letting the people who support you know that you value them on social media can help increase the number of followers, and it shows that you care about your work.
Now is the time to take a good look and see how your Brand can utilize digital media. We will have more tips and tricks of the trade to help you navigate social media marketing in our “The Social in Social B. Creative” series.
